Launglon, 11 November

A civilian and a member of the People’s Defense Force (PDF) were killed near Karengyi village in Tanintharyi Region’s Launglon after the battle, locals told Than Lwin Times.

The clash broke out between the resistance fighters and the advanced junta army on 9 November.

After the battle, the regime forces shot and killed a civilian and a PDF comrade near Karengyi village.

The bodies were found dead on the morning of November 10.

The Launglon PDF told Than Lwin Times that the deceased was not a member of their group but a local.

On November 9, the junta army arrested 50-year-old Daw Nu Than and 20-year-old Maung Aung Thar Htet from Pyingyi Village as human shields.

Around 10 soldiers were injured in an ambush attack in Kayingyi village, said resistance fighters.

The regime troops burned down at least five houses in Kayingyi and Kmapani villages.

The junta’s invasion has forced thousands of local residents from Thinbawseik, Kayingyi, Kampani, and Pyingyi villages.
