Yangon, 4 December

Gunmen robbed two men to get  100,000,000 kyats in Botataung township, Yangon Region, a person close to the Yangon region police force told Than Lwin Times.

The incident happened at the junction of Mahabandula road and 41st street, ward 8, Botataung township on the evening of 1 December.

“Currently, inspections are being made with blocking  around the area. The cars used by robbers is also being tracked by CCTV. They are being searched until now,”  a person close to the Yangon regional police force told Than Lwin Times.

In the incident, while U Khin Maung Win from Hlaing township was at the junction of Mahabandula road and 41st road in Ward 8, Botataung township, when a group of people got out of a white taxi, threatened with a gun, and abducted another man along with him.

The hostages were released in the Southern Dagon township.
