Tanintharyi, April (23)

The civilians were arrested and taken away after the military council clashed with the local People’s Defense Forces on the morning of April 22 in Tanintharyi Region’s Maing Thathtu village, Theindaw village tract, Tanintharyi Township, the locals said.

The regime’s 17th Infantry Battalion in Theindaw hamlet was attacked by a local PDF coalition Force on April 21, killing one military member and wounded three others.

As a result, another clash with the local PDF broke out on April 22 as the military council marched on the site.



No one was injured in the fighting, which lasted more than an hour. But the military council set fire to a house in Theindaw village and arrested five civilians in Bang Pyae village, according to locals.

The military council is attacked by a joint team of non-aligned guerrilla group, Southern Heroes Protection Force (SWDF) and People’s Defense Army (Myeik District) Battalion 2.
