Mawlamyine, July (14)
A man died after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine in Daungzayat ward in Mon State’s Mawlamyine, the residents informed Than Lwin Times.
A 36-year-old man died on July 7 after receiving the vaccine on July 6 in the COVID centre in his community.
He was the driver of the Mawlamyin-Myawaddy passenger bus and had no health conditions.
After being vaccinated, he said he felt tired, and took a nap, and then passed away.
The regime’s doctors said the man who died after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine was a suspected patient and did not specify what caused his death.
The Than Lwin Times tried to reach Dr. Nanda Win, a director of the regime’s Mon State Health Department, for comment, but he said that he would only respond in person.
In Mon State, some suffered from illness and dizziness after receiving the COVIND-19 vaccine, but this was the first death following the vaccination.
The military regime is now administering the COVID vaccine (Sinopharm) to primary school students between the ages of five and 12, as well as those who had yet to receive the injections.
