Kyaikto, July (21)
The military council arrested six people, including two motorcycle taxi drivers, for allegedly supporting the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) in Mon State’s Kyaikto Township, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
On July 17, the regime forces arrested one young man waiting for a bus at a highway terminal east of Shan Market, and subsequently detained two others.
Additionally, the military council detained three other young men in the late afternoon of July 19 as they bought betel nuts in front of the Golden Bliss Hotel in Kyaikto.
Among the three friends who were arrested were Ko Aung Myo Min and Ko Thiha, motorcycle taxi drivers from Moebaw village.
Their whereabouts are still unknown and they were kept incommunicado.
The military-proxy telegram account alleged that the arrested youths were those who were going to receive drone training in Batallion 3 of KNLA Brigade 1, and PDF support youths.
