Paung, October (28)
The junta forces clashed with the People’s Defense Forces who were at central Kawkan village of Ohndabin village tract in Mon State’s Paung Township on the morning of October 27, the sources told Than Lwin Times.
The Military Council came to attack the residence after learning where the People’s Defense Forces were staying, and a fight broke out between the two groups.
After the two sides exchanged fire, there were arrests and killings of PDF members, according to a source close to the Paung People’s Defense Force (Paung PDF).
People who were shot were brought to the Township Public Hospital while those who were arrested were held at the Paung police station.
However, Than Lwin Times has yet to independently confirm the details of the casualties on both sides of the conflict.
