Kawkayeik , December (17)
The junta army conducted an aerial attack after a clash broke out with combined resistance forces near Karen State’s Kawkayeik Township yesterday morning, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
There have been clashes between regime forces and PDFs on the Mywaddy-Kawkayeik Asian Highway near Tadarkyo checkpoint and Seikphukon village since the morning of December 16.
The Tadarkyo Bridge on the Myawaddy-Kawkayeik Asian Highway checkpoint was currently closed as a result of the incident, and cars and travelers were also stranded, a passenger said.
The fighting reportedly started when the revolution forces attacked the Tadarkyo military checkpoint and the regime’s Battalion 231 near the gate.
The junta forces have fired artillery shells at a neighborhood while military aircraft conducted aerial reconnaissance.
