The military council keeps putting a lot of pressure on non-CDM staff in Ye Township, Mon State, where martial law has been established, and forcing them to work, a staff, who did not wish to be named told Than Lwin Times.
Non-CDM personnel report to the military council through their superiors on everyday activities and unusual incidents.
If the staff do not report on time, they are subjected to intense pressure and scolding, so they are tired of continuing to work, said the source.
The military council reportedly prohibits non-CDM staff who are under pressure from quitting, and medical pensions are only given to those who have medical conditions that put their lives at risk.
Furthermore, non-CDM staff are concerned about getting arrested by the PDFs while paying cash at junta checks on the Mawlamyine-Ye road.
A staff, who refused to be named, said that the recent claims that revolutionary forces would raid the junta battalions, outposts, and departmental offices in Ye Township raised concerns.
The members of KNLA Battalion 27 headquarters control the road along Mawlamyine, Mudon, Thanbyuzayet, Ye, Daweik, and Myeik, and on June 15, an order was issued for travelers to accept inspection by KNLA forces, not to ride with regime members, and not to carry military-related items.
On June 13, the military council issued an order requiring all departments to ask permission before traveling long distances and to report to Military Operations Commands (MOC-19) in Ye Township.
Following the military coup, the junta battalions, camps, and departmental offices were frequently targeted by resistance forces in Mon State’s Ye Township, which was placed under martial law on Feb 2.
