At least 15 soldiers were killed and ammunition seized during the battle near Kyon Laung old village and Ye bridge in Ye Township, Mon State, according to the resistance fighters.

The Ye bridge checkpoint was raided by the revolutionary forces around 6:00 a.m. on October 20, and a fight broke out for almost half an hour.

Following the battle, the allied resistance forces clashed with the junta army for another two hours near Kyon Laung old village.

At least 15 regime troops, including two officers, were killed in the battle, and 12 guns, ammunition, and military equipment were also seized by the joint revolutionary forces.

The allied resistance forces lost some comrades in the battle, with 10 others injured, said a resistance fighter.

The mission was carried out by the combined forces of the Daw Na column, the Mon State Revolutionary Force, the Ye Guerilla Force, and the All-Burma Students’ Democratic Union.

According to local residents, a local man from Kyon Laung new village was shot and killed at his home, and another man was also hit by a bullet in his arm.

The two victims were transported to Ye Township Public Hospital by the social rescue team.

On October 17, a fight broke out in San Pya village, Ye Township, and both sides were injured or killed.
