Loikaw, 18 November

A court where the military troops are stationed in Doukhu Ward, Loikaw, Kayah State, was set on fire after being attacked by revolutionary joint forces on 17 November.

The Karenni Nationalities Defence Force told Than Lwin Times that the joint revolutionary forces carried out attacks on 4 locations inside the Loikaw District Court.

This district court was demolished because it passed unfair convictions to local farmers and youth since before the coup, said Khue Ridu from KNDF to Than Lwin Times.

“It is a place that does not benefit to the Karenni people. This court cannot ensure justice, so we demolished it,” he also said.

Junta soldiers were killed during the battle, but the number could not be confirmed, he said.

The revolutionary joint forces have been conducting the Operation 1111 in Kayah State since 11 November until now, and they have occupied nine military camps and also controlled Loikaw University in that operation.
