Nyaunglaybin, July (16)
According to the Karen National Union (KNU)’s spokesperson, Pado Saw Taw Ni, the junta forces have increased the intentional attacks targeting civilians in recent times.
In areas under the control of the Karen National Union KNU, the 3rd Brigade of Nyaunglaybin District, the 6th Brigade of Dupalaya District and the 1st Brigade of Thaton District, the military council forces have continued to attack villages with heavy weapons, burn villages, conduct airstrikes on fleeing civilians.
The military’s targeting of civilians is unacceptable and the KNU will continue to confront it, Pado Saw Taw Ni said.
