Thanbyuzayat, July (23)
Three houses, including the house of the NLD party’s executive, were sealed off on July 21 by the military council in Thanbyuzayat Township, Mon State, locals confirmed to Than Lwin Times.
The military council sealed off the homes of the NLD Party’s township executive, U Min Aung in Thanphyuzarap Township’s Kyonekadek Village, Ko Ye Lin Tun’s home in Aung Thayar Ward, and Ko Pai Soe’s home in Kyantkhineyae Ward.
The junta accused U Min Aung and two others of being related to terrorist organizations and seized their homes as state property.
According to local residents, the family members living in the house were forced to move out when the junta forces sealed off the home of U Min Aung, a township executive of the NLD Party.
The other two whose homes were sealed off, Ko Pain Soe and Ko Ye Lin Tun, were philanthropists before the military coup, and are now on the run for protesting against the dictatorship.
The council has opened cases against Ko Min Aung, Ko Ye Lin Tun, and Ko Pai Soe under section 505 as well as the Terrorism Act.
