A slain woman’s body was discovered in a bamboo bush on Mya Tha Beik hill in Mon State’s Thaton Township on the morning of August 30, the sources close to the rescue workers told Than Lwin Times.
A local spotted a decomposing body while collecting bamboo shoots around there, and informed the rescue members and responsible officials.
The deceased is 20-year-old Ma May Thingyan Oo, who lives on Buta Road, Theingone Ward, Thaton Township.
The decomposed corpse had a 4-inch cut on the left thigh, and her genitalia and breasts were not covered by clothing.
Locals believe that the deceased Ma May Thingyan Oo was raped before her death.
The body was sent to the hospital for an autopsy by the rescue workers.
Some locals who want to take pictures and do exercises, and the couples are used to go to Mya Tha Beik Hill, and some often robbed of their motorbikes, phones and wallets.
After the military coup, house burglaries, motorcycle thefts, and street robberies have continued to occur in Thaton.
