One member of a pro-military militia was killed and two others were wounded in an attack near Kywechan village in Mon State’s Paung Township, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
An identified armed group attacked the militia in Kywechan village around 8 pm on September 6.
The militia leader, U Tat Naing died on the spot and two others were seriously injured in the attack.
Three members of the pro-military militia were U Tet Naing, U Soe Than and U Than Soe in Ywathit , Kywechan village, and they are in their 40s or 50s.
The military council arrested a man from the house east of the scene of the incident, and some of the men related to him are reportedly being hunted down by the regime forces.
On September 3, an unidentified armed group attacked the police station and the administration office with a 40-mm grenade.
