On October 5, about 10 am, an attack occurred on the police station located in Kinmonchaung village in Mon Stage’s Kyaikto Township, according to the sources who spoke to Than Lwin Times.
A combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) attacked the police station using drones and powerful weapons.
Two shells launched by the KNLA joint troops exploded inside the police station compound, causing some buildings to collapse.
Than Liwn Times has not yet been able to independently verify the details of the losses on the junta side.
After the military council’s police station was attacked, they retaliated with various weapons, forcing the local residents and vendors at the base of Kyaikhti Yo mountain to temporarily close their shops and seek refuge elsewhere.
Since the military coup, the Kinmonshcaung police station in Kyaikta Township was attacked at least three times.
