On October 15, two of the residents detained after the military council’s airstrike in Latyatkone village, Dabayin Township, Sagaing Region, were released, Dabayin Brothers Group told Than Lwin Times.
The Military Council conducted a nearly one-hour airstrike on Latyatkone village around 1 pm on September 16, and 17 people, including teachers, were arrested, and two drivers were now released.
After the airstrike, the soldiers took the injured teachers and children to the Ye-U District Hospital and Monywa Military Hospital under the pretext of providing medical treatment.
The children who were taken to Ye U district hospital have not been released until today, and one of them was sent to Monywa Military Hospital, Dabayin Brothers group said.
The 11 local residents, including children and teachers, are still under arrest, and the military has not informed their family members about them until now.
The National Unity Government (NUG) announced that a total of 13 people were killed in the Dabayin attack, including seven children and six civilians.
One of the 17 people abducted by the military council was killed, while the others have not yet been freed.
