If the military personnel serving under the military council join People’s Embrace with their weapons, they will be awarded cash prizes, the Kyaikto Revolutionary Force (KRF) announced.
Prizes will be awarded depending on the types of weapon and also those people will be transported to the liberated areas safely, the KRF said.
Soldiers seeking asylum will receive 30 lakhs if they bring a small weapon; 50 lakhs for each of RPG, 40 mm and 60 mm ; Ks 50,000 for a box of bullets; Ks 500 kyats for a small bullet; Ks 50,000 for one artillery shell and Ks 10,000 for a grenade, said in the statement.
Most of the armed forces that joined People’s Embrace were unarmed, and so they were urged to bring weapons, an official from the Kyaikto Revolutionary Forces (KRF) told Than Lwin Times.
Therefore, the junta troops can contact the KRF if they want to join People’s Embrace, rather than be a stooge of the military council, which is torturing and killing people.
The Kyaikto Revolutionary Forces (KRF) has carried out at least 100 attacks on junta forces, including offices of the military council since the coup.
