Kyain Seikgyi, April 30

According to locals, a conflict between the KNLA and the military council occurred on April 29 in Khale Village, Kyain Seikgyi Township, Karen State, and the regime arrested at least 10 civilians.

The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) clashed with the regime forces near the Basic Education High School (Khale) between Khale Ywa Gyi and Khale Ywa Kale while the military council from Takun Daing police station marched.

 A local civilian was injured in the clashes, and artillery shells hit some homes in the area, locals said.

The military council then raided residences in the area of the Khale school, arresting at least ten residents.

The military council marched on the Takun Daing village police station recently, arresting about 30 local citizens as human shields and porters along the way, and then releasing them two days later.

Thousands of local people are fleeing from Khale Takun Daing, Kamaw Wan, Daing Lut, Nan Thaing Htun villages after The KNLA clashed with the regime troops on April 23 near the Takun Daing police station.
