The regime’s Mon State police office, situated on Taungpawtan Road, was bombed on August 4 at around 10 am, the sources told Than Lwin Times.
Some policemen were hit by the attack, and the exact number of injured is not yet known.
One tricycle driver nearby was wounded in the police housing attack, and he now received treatment at the hospital.
The Federal Freedom UG claimed that they attacked a police housing complex with grenades, injuring three policemen.
Following the attack, the security forces have blocked the passengers at the check-points of the town, inspecting the motorcycles and cars.
The Federal Freedom UG group announced that they were able to successfully retreat after an attack on the police housing in Mawlamyine amid tight security by the junta forces.
On July 27, the Federal Freedom UG group also threw bombs at security forces guarding at the Mon State Hluttaw.
