Asin village administrator U Maung Myint, the father of Ko Phoe Si, who was also shot dead last year on the Ye-Asin route.
“He is a military informant. His brother is also a soldier. His father was also an informant for the military, so he was assassinated by a resistance group last year. Today, we fired ten shots at him while he was being photographed. He died on the spot,” said an official from Ye Balu.
According to the locals, Ko Phoe Si is a quiet person in the village and has moved to Ye Town in recent months. They say they don’t know exactly if he was a military informant or not.
