Belin, September (21)

The military council sealed off three homes, including one of NLD party supporters in Mon State’s Belin Township, the residents told Than Lwin Times.

On September 19, the residences of U Moatseik from Kantharyar ward and U Soe Htike, a former administrator from Zokethote village in Belin Township, were cordoned off by the regime troops and its subordinate departments.

Similarly, the home of Daw Aye Thidar Myint, a member of the National League for Democracy (NLD) in Alu village, Belin Township, was sealed off on September 20.

U Soe Htike, whose house was sealed off, was a village administrator during the NLD government and fled with his family after the military coup.

The military council claimed that the owners of these homes were seized as state property because they were involved with a terrorist organization.

Following the military takeover, the military council sealed off at least 10 local residences, including that of NLD Party MP Daw Thiri Yadanar from Belin Township.
