After the deaths of three soldiers, including the deputy battalion commander, in the attack on Win Sein village in Mon State’s Thaton Township, the local people are fleeing because the regime forces are storming the village, the sources told Than Lwin Times.
The Thaton PDF killed three soldiers, including the Deputy Battalion Commander, Major Chit Win Thu, of the No. 9 Training unit in Thatton Township, who had returned after arresting a civilian of Win Sein village on the morning of November 9.
The 80-strong military column then arrived in Win Sein village on the evening of November 10, searched house to house, and opened fire indiscriminately.
The invading junta forces invaded the village and opened fire at neighboring areas recklessly, forcing some residents to flee.
The military council threatened to burn Win Sein village if they did not find the PDF comrades within three days, according to the locals.
At present, the residents of Win Sein village are fleeing to Thaton and other safe places.
The regime forces have not left Win Sein village until November 11 and are hiding in the vicinity of the village.
