Launglon, January (22)
Since the morning of January 21, the regime troops have been conducting a search and inspection of the Kawmyawkin Bridge connecting Launglon and Dawei Townships in Tanintharyi Region, the residents told Than Lwin Times.
Starting at 10 a.m. yesterday, the military council tightened security and inspected every passenger vehicle and motorcycle on the Kawmyawkin Bridge.
The junta forces blocked those coming from Launglon and strictly checked the travelers and vehicles going from Dawei to Launglon.
It is reported that the military council blocked and inspected the Kamyawkin Bridge for security reasons, causing hundreds of travelers to be stranded and some travelers to turn back the way they came.
After that, the military council forces reopened the bridge yesterday at around 1:30 pm, residents said.
On December 5, there was a land mine explosion at the Kamyawkin Bridge, and two women riding a motorcycle were injured, and the regime troops blocked the bridge for almost three hours.
