Nay Pyi Taw, 12 February

A minor earthquake stroke Myanmar’s capital city Nay Pyi Taw on 11 February, according to its Meteorology and Hydrology Department.

The magnitude 3.5 earthquake was centered at 2-mile northeast of Ottarathiri Township and 5 mile northeast of the Seismic Monitoring Station in Nay Pyi Taw at the depth of 10 kilometer.

The earthquake was noticed for some seconds in Zabuthiri Township.

A slight earthquake also happened in the capity on 5 January evening.

Myanmar’s junta has a custom of magical practices to avert their superstition about earthquakes.
