Mawlamyine, March (24)
Following the drone attack on Mawlamyine-based Southeastern Command in Mon State, the regime forces beefed up security in the city, and blocked and searched passersby, the residents told Than Lwin Times.
The resistance forces dropped three bombs on the junta’s Southeastern Command using drones on March 16, damaging a building.
The military council deployed its troops at schools in wards or villages in Mawlamyine for security reasons.
Additionally, the regime’s security forces, police officers, fire brigade members, and administrative officials are randomly searching and inspecting motorbikes, cars, and pedestrians.
They inquired about the destinations of passersby and searched motorcycles and cars thoroughly.
At nights, the regime forces check overnight guest lists and patrol around the city.
The members of the regime have been monitoring the movement of civilians through CCTV security cameras and patrolling in the wards in civilian cars or on motorcycles wearing plain clothes.
