Mawlamyine, 3 April
Mon state government is constructing a central water-splashing and entertainment pandal in Mawlamyine city, Mon State.
U Aung Kyi Thein, the local chief minister of junta regime, is putting pressure on business firms to set up pandals for ensuring the festival is teeming with the crowds.
There was no water festival in 2020 due to the outbreak of Covid-19, and people did not enjoy the festival in 2021 and 2022 under the administration of military regime.
While the junta is trying for the successful celebrations of water festival, the revolutionary forces have urged the public not to join water-splashing pandals related to the junta regime.
