The military council’s fighter jet further carried out aerial bombings on Pazigyi village in Sagaing Region’s Kanbalu on April 20, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
The junta fighter jet, flying from the southern part of Pazigyi village, conducted an air raid on the village for five minutes.
After the junta bombardment, smoke rose from the village until around 4:00 p.m., and there was no one in the village at that time, so the extent of the damage to the residences is unknown, a resident said.
About 8,000 residents from eight surrounding villages, including Pazigyi village, have fled the junta’s invasion near Pazigyi village.
On April 11, NUG reported that 168 people were killed, including pregnant women and children, as a result of the military council’s air bombardment on Pazigyi village, however, locals claim that 174 people died in the assault.
According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), 1,511 individuals perished as a result of military airstrikes, artillery fire, and invasions in Sagaing following the military coup.
