Covid-19 case has increased significantly in the last week of April, 71 persons were tested positive in a single day on 25 April, according to the official report of Ministry of Health under the Myanmar military regime.
Daily cases were reported as 45 on 23, 51 on 24 and 71 on 25 April respectively.
Civil society organizations are now preparing to provide assistance to Covid-19 patients as the case number has gradually increased.
“We have found infection of Covid patients. We referred some suspected patients to hospitals during Thingyan festival. We worry about resurgence of Covid-19 in coming monsoon,” said a member of civil society organization.
Updated report of Ministry of Health under the military said the country’s Covid-19 positive case rose to 6,334,761 on 26 April.
