Prime Minister of National Unity Government Mahn Win Khaing Than said that care and protection are needed for people affected by destructive severe cyclone Mocha, and he also expressed his condolences to the cyclone victims.
During the meeting of Interim Local Public Administration Committee of the NUG on 18 May, the prime minister who is also the chairman of committee said, “While the National Unity Government is a revolutionary government struggling for the justice, we need to protect and treat their stress in the post-cyclone period.”
He also said that unexpected obstacles in the path of destination must be overcome with public strength in absolute determination.
The prime minister expressed thanks to relevant departments, heads of public administration and people defence organizations for their preparedness measures, collaborative efforts and fund-raising since 4 May before Cyclone Mocha.
The meet was also attended by union ministers, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries and departmental officials of NUG.
