Two men who were accused of killing pro-junta nationalist female singer Lily Naing Kyaw were shot dead by the military, according to their propaganda media outlets.
Kaung Zarni Hein and Kyaw Thura were killed near Maungmakan road of North Dagaon township, Yangon, as they tried to escape from showing the evidences of crime in the murder case, according to junta media’s reports.
A source close to Yangon Region Police Force confirmed their deaths to Than Lwin Times, but refused to explain the details.
The two suspects in this case were Kaung Zarni Hein and Kyaw Thura, who are the members of Special Task Force (STF), and the former’s mother and elder sister were killed by the pro-military Pyusawhtee members.
The female singer was short in front of her house in Yankin township on 30 May evening, and died at Mingalardon Military hospital in Yankin township.
