Kanpetlet, July (19)
The junta aircraft dropped bombs over Masartwee village in Chin State’s Kanpetlet Township five times, reported the Kanpetlet-PDF.
The bombardment around 11 a.m. on July 18 destroyed some houses and a church in Masartwee village.
It is reported that the military council’s bombardment damaged the houses and the church, but did not harm the people.
People are fleeing to safety as fighting between regime troops and local resistance fighters intensifies in Kanpetlet.
A spokesman for the Kanpetlet-CDF was not immediately available for comment regarding the fighting.
Chin State has been one of the major strongholds in Myanmar since the military coup, and it is also a territory suffering from the junta’s most aggressive operation.
