Kyainseikkyi, 2 November
Armed clashes are escalating between the KNLA joint force and the military Junta, since the early hours on 2 November in Kyainseikkyi, Karen State, according to the local residents.
During the fighting, some houses were destroyed, and some civilians were injured, the locals said.
“The situation is not good in Kyainseikkyi. They are still fighting until now. Home have been damaged by heavy weapons. The current condition is that the roofs of the houses have been collapsed due to heavy weapons.” the residents said.
Due to the battle, the local residents have also been informed not to travel through Phayathonzu – Kya-in-Seikkyi – Chaung Hnakwa road for the time being.
