A member of the pro-junta militia group was shot and killed between Yin Nyein and Kyauk Tan villages in Mon State’s Paung Township, locals confirmed to Than Lwin Times.
A 54-year-old U Me Gyi, a member of Kyauk Ye Dwin militia group, was assassinated by the revolutionary joint forces at around 7:00 a.m. on December 9.
A member of the militia, U Me Gyi, was shot in the head and arm and died on the spot.
The body of U Mei Gyi was transported to the Yin Nyein District Hospital with the help of local residents.
According to locals, U Me Gyi frequently opens fire in Kyauk Ye Dwin village and threatens those who disagree with him.
On September 20, an informant from military security affairs was shot to death in Paung’s Ohntabin village.
