The Arakan Army (AA) reported on December 14 that it had attacked and captured 142 junta bases and outposts in Rakhine State within a month and a half since the start of Operation 1027.
The AA occupied 142 camps from October 27 to December 10, including military camps, police stations, joint military-police camps, and border guard outposts.
Among the camps occupied by the AA are those in Sittwe, Pauk Taw, Kyauk Phyu, Yanbye, Myaebon, Taunggok, Thandwe, Ann, Maungdaw, Butheedaung, Yathaedaung, Ponnakyun, Paletwa, Kyauktaw, Mrauk-U and Min Pyar townships.
The Three Brotherhood Alliance that launched ” Operation 1027 ” namely the Arakan Army (AA), The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army-Kokang (MNDAA) took control of at least 400 military bases in Rakhine and northern Shan State.
