Pwintbyu, October (9)
The regime forces have tightened security in Magway Region’s Pwingbyu Township checking the people by identifying with the suspects’ images, the local sources told Than Lwin Times.
The military council has blocked the road and searched the passers-by at COVID-19 testing gate and Maezali bridge in Pwintbyu since October 5.
The security forces conducted an inspection of the travelers’ NRC cards and identification procedures, rummaging through the bags, and having the drivers pinned on the ground.
The regime forces are checking men, bikes, and cars as a priority, and travelers are facing travel delays due to the thorough inspection.
This inspection occurred after the military council was informed that the local resistance forces and the People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) would transport weapons through Pwyintbyu Township.
The regime forces are patrolling in the villages with military vehicles wearing plain clothes.
