A veteran Myanmar actor and Director, Thiha Tin Soe, died from heart attack in Yangon on 21 February, said sources from film industry.
The 55-year-old academy award winner passed away at Thingangyun hospital, and some of his peers expressed their condolence on social media.
In early age of Myanmar video business, he was well-known for his characters in many films and videos as a brave patriotic guerilla who fought against Japanese invasions during the second world war.
He won academic awards both for actor and director in his film ‘Nga Ye Thar’ (Hellman).
His wife Zin Mar Oo, who is also an academic winning actress, also died in 2021 at the age of 51, and his younger brother film director Nyana Tin Soe passed away with heart attack in 2022.
