Kanni, 19 April
Local people defence forces attacked military troops stationed at a telecommunication tower facility in Kanni Township, Sagaing region, on 17 April morning.
The Ministry of Defence under the National Unity Government said that No(1) Battalion of People Defence Force in Yinmabin District raided the military camp with about 30 soldiers, and confiscated weapons and ammunition.
The clashes occurred about 20 minutes, and there were some casualties of junta soldiers in NUG’s report. But Than Lwin Times was unable to confirm the figure.
