On May 30, three people, including the police chief, were injured in a drone attack at the Kyondoe police station in Karen State’s Kawkayeik, locals told Than Lwin Times.
An armed group used a drone to attack the police station in Kyondoe Township’s Ward No. 2 about 9:00 a.m. that day.
A bomb landed in the compound of the police station, injuring police chief Khin Zaw, deputy police chief Kyaw Thura, and U Kyaw Kyaw Tun from Yangon.
It is reported that the three injured, including the police chief, have been taken to the Kondoe District Hospital by social rescue teams.
The military lobbyists posted on their Telegram accounts that the People’s Defense Force (PDF) attacked the Kyondoe police station.
However, it is not yet known which organization is responsible for the attack.
After the attack on the police station, the Light Infantry Battalions 545 and 546 of the military council based in Kyondoe Township launched 120-mm heavy weapons into Thayat Taw and Nyaungpin Yeik Thar villages in Kyondoe Township, hitting a civilian in the head and killing him, said the sources.
