Military cooperation with allied EAOs is a success, NUG says

Mawlamyine, April (15)

The Central Command and Coordination Committee (C3C), which has been coordinating militarily with allied ethnic armed organizations, has been successful, U Naing Htoo Aung, secretary of the National Unity Government’s (NUG) Ministry of Defense told the Than Lwin Times.

The C3C is a committee founded in 2021 by the NUG’s battalions and other ethnic armed organization to effectively combat the coup council.

Each area in C3C has a general staff, battalions, and squadrons that strive to attack the military council using a hierarchical command system.

“Thanks to the leadership, experience, and resources of Ethnic Armed Organizations, we were able to conduct operations in the conflicts with better strategies. The recent conflicts are also being waged with the help of ethnic armed forces and resistances groups. There are also triumphs. As a result, the C3C can be considered a success,” said NUG Secretary of the Ministry of Defense U Naing Htoo Aung.

In addition, the NUG Ministry of Defense collaborates with local defense units as well as allied ethnic armed organizations. They were already cooperating with the township-based People’s Defense Forces in most areas.

However, some organizations will need to be included in the transition process, and C3C is planning to use a hierarchical command system in military operations.

At present, the National Unity Government (NUG) currently has over 100,000 troops under its control accordint to Secretary U Naing Htoo Aung.
