The regime’s Pyu Saw Htee gang reportedly allots and sells the land in Pandale and Myaung Pauk villages, Loung Lone Twonship in Tanintharyi Region for funds, said the locals.
The Pyu Saw Htee group has sold nearly 80 plots of land for Ks 300,000 per 30-36 foot plot of land.
When the locals went to tell them not to sell their land in the village, the Pyu Saw Htee group threatened them with weapons, according to a local resident.
The land is almost sold out because nearly all pro-military supporters have bought the plots of land sold by the Pyu Saw Htee group.
In addition, the Pyu Saw Htee group in Pandale village collects Ks 3,000 per household a month from the village to help fund their members.
Ko Zaw, the leader of the Pyu Saw Htee group in Pandale village, was killed in an attack by the local PDF last March, but the rest of the Pyu Saw Htee group is doing what they want as they please in the village.
