The Dooplaya District Standing Committee announced on April 18 that people should travel only from 6 am to 7 pm in Dooplaya District under the control of the Karen National Union (KNU) 6th Brigade.

Vehicles are required to keep their windows open while passing through checkpoints, and motorcyclists are required to take off their helmets, it said.

Regarding compulsory travel beyond the time limit; necessary organizational activities; health conditions and going to work, the locals should consult with the relevant authorities.

It is also reported that travelers will be subject to scrutiny by the relevant authorities and will be subject to appropriate action if they do not comply with the regulations.

The Dooplaya District Standing Committee has issued a directive on March 26 not to use the Kawkareik-Myawaddy road and the Myawaddy-Wal lay road.
