Ye, April (24)

On the morning of April 23, the Mon State Revolutionary Organization (MSRO) attacked the Tada Gyi checkpoint near Ywa Thit Village in Mon State’s Ye Township, killing two regime soldiers and injuring one officer.

According to an official from MSRO, the checkpoint was targeted because the military council was aggressively inspecting and punishing travelers.

The MSRO conducted bomb attacks, as a warning, on the pillars of the military council MyTel towers and Departmental offices, and intermittent attacks on junta forces.

The MSRO was founded by revolutionary forces in Mon State with the aim of overthrowing the dictatorship, ending the civil war, and establishing a federal democracy that values human rights which the people aspire to.
