In the battle that took place in the town of Hpruso in Karenni State, four military personnel were killed and some were injured, the Hpruso People’s Defense Force said.
On July 22, the PDF Alliance, including the Karenni Nationalitise Defence Force (KNDF) and Hpruso PDF, attacked regime troops operating in Hpruso.
During the attack, four junta soldiers were killed, and the PDF Alliance was able to withdraw successfully without any casualties.
The PDF Alliance, along with Hpruso PDF, frequently attacked Hproso police station and the regime’s No. 428 Light Infantry Battalion.
Amidst the military council’s continuous military activities, there is a military tension between the two sides, and there have been ongoing battles.
After the military coup, thousands of local residents in Hpruso have been forced to flee the fighting between the junta and the PDF Alliance, and have not been able to return to their homes until now.
