2 civilians killed by military-backed Son Ye militia in Launglon

The pro-military Son Ye (The Kite) group arrested and killed two locals from Thabawt Seik and Maungmakan villages in Tanintharyi Region’s Launglon Township, the local residents told Than Lwin Times.

The members of the So Ye militia arrived in Thabawt Seik village and arbitrarily killed Daw Pwar at her home.

Similarly, U Zaw Win, from Maungmakan village, was shot in the head in front of his house and the militia left the papers with the Son Ye logo near the dead bodies.

According to local residents, U Zaw Win and Daw Pwar, who were killed, were quiet people in the village.

Pyu Saw Htee and So Ye, two military-backed militia groups, conducted arbitrary arrests and killings, driving locals to flee in terror.

In Launglon Township, the regime’s Pyu Saw Htee and Son Ye groups killed nine residents and burned down a house in the two months of June and July.
