The military checkpoint near the toll gate at the entrance of Belin Township in Mon State suffered another attack around 9 pm on October 31, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
The joint forces of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) attacked a junta checkpoint with heavy weapons and small arms.
During the attack, the two sides exchanged fire for nearly 20 minutes.
Ko Aye Min Tun, the PDF official in Thaton District, said that they are investigating the casualties of the junta forces and that the KNLA joint forces were able to withdraw successfully without any harm in the attack.
On the other hand, military convoy hit the landmines planted by KNLA allied forces between Shweyaungpya and Daungyat villages around 8 pm on October 31.
The mine attack destroyed a regime vehicle, and the details of the junta forces’ casualties are unknown.
The military checkpoint near the old toll gate at the entrance to Belin have been attacked at least five times since the military coup, and at least 10 military council soldiers, including a deputy police chief, have been killed.
