Ye, December (21)
The Ye Balu, resistance force, attacked the No. 586 Light Infantry Battalion on the Ye-Thanbyuzayat road in Mon State’s Ye Township.
In the afternoon of December 20, the rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) fired by Ye Balu exploded inside the junta battalion.
The blast left four military personnel dead and at least three others injured, the leader of Ye Balu said.
Following the attack, the Ye Balu made a successful and unharmed retreat.
Despite the explosion in the regime’s unit, neither a counter-attack nor an inspection outside the camp were conducted by the junta army.
Since the military coup, the Light Infantry Battalion 586 has been attacked at least five times.
