The Union Solidarity and Development Party, a well-known military-backed party, has begun scrutinizing its candidates and getting ready for the election in Mon State, the party members told Than Lwin Times.
The USDP is explaining the PR system of proportional representation that will be used in the next election under the 90-day plan in the townships of Mon State.
In addition, the officials are verifying the names of party members and clarifying the process of party and election.
U Aung Kyi Thein, leader of the Union Solidarity and Development Party in the Mon State, remarked that, as usual, the party is looking into party members and running a campaign.
In Mon State, the USDP ran for 45 parliamentary seats in the 2020 general election but failed to take any of them.
