Military regime’s facilities, administrative office attacked on same day in Belin

On January 18, the Hawk Revolutionary Squad (HRS) reported that they conducted drone attacks against a police station and the administration department, including two army battalions, in Belin Township, Mon State.

The combined forces of Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and Hawk Revolutionary Forces (HRS) attacked the Belin police station and administrative office with drones carrying four 60-mm bombs.

Three policemen were injured in the attack and while no one was injured in the attack on the township administrative office, but some parts of building were damaged, according to the Hawk Revolutionary Squad (HRS).

Meanwhile, the joint force attacked the Infantry Battalion with drone 8 around noon, killing one soldier.

Around 5 pm, another drone attack hit the 3rd Light Infantry Battalion near Kazaing dam in Belin, hitting the meeting hall of the military council, and injuring eight soldiers, including three warrant officer I.

The details of the casualties are under investigation, said Padoh Saw Aye Naing, the secretary of KNU’s Thaton District.

Despite the regime forces’ counter attack, the KNLA joint forces were able to retreat without harm.

On March 28, the combined force of KNLA dropped bomb on the Belin police station and administrative office, injuring four staff and one commission employee.
