Local resistance groups in Sagaing Region shot down a military helicopter during an armed clash near Shwe Pyi Aye Myothit in Homelin Township on 3 February, according to the report of National Unity Government.
The report said that People Defense Force Battalion (1) in Khamti district, Homelin PDF-124, Homeline PDF Myogyo and the allied forces carried out the mission.
Twenty persons of soldiers and Pyusawhti members were killed, while two PDF members died in the battle.
Until 1 February evening, the local PDFs have conquered Shwe Pyi Aye Myothit, according the local forces.
The resistant forces have also warned the public not to travel along waterways of Homelin-Shwe Pyi Aye and Shwe Pyi Aye-Phaungpyin as the clashes are intensifying with the junta troops.
