Mawlamyine, 25 February
Myanmar’s military regime on 23 February announced appointment of Mawlamyine University’s Rector Dr Aung Myat Kyaw Sein as a natural resources minister of Mon state government.
In response to the query of Than Lwin Times, the rector said, “We are civil service personnel, and that we cannot refuse any duty assigned by the administration.”
He has been blacklisted by the National Unity Government and the interim administration of Mawlamyine University as he worked for the military regime after the coup.
